MEMBERSHIP
IN THE INSTITUTE FOR ENERGY LAW
Membership
in the Institute for Energy Law is available to individuals,
corporations, law firms, government agencies and other organizations
interested in energy law issues.
ANNUAL
MEMBERSHIP DUES AND BENEFITS:
Sustaining
Membership $5,000
(available
to corporations, firms, and other organizations)
- Six representatives on the Institute
Advisory Board, each of whom is entitled to all of the benefits
of Associate Membership described below;
- The right to designate two additional representatives under the age of 40 on the Institute Advisory Board for free and up to four additional representatives under the age of 40 for $300 each, each of whom is entitled to all of the benefits of Associate Membership described below;
- The
right to designate an unlimited number of additional representatives
to the Advisory Board (add $500 dues for each additional
representative);
- A 20% discount for all other attorneys and employees at
all IEL programs;* and
- Recognition as a Sustaining Member in IEL and Center publications.
Supporting
Membership $2,500
(available to corporations, firms, and other organizations)
- Three representatives on the Institute Advisory Board,
each of whom is entitled to all of the benefits of Associate
Membership described below;
- The right to designate one additional representative under the age of 40 on the Institute Advisory Board for free and up to two additional representatives under the age of 40 for $300 each, each of whom is entitled to all of the benefits of Associate Membership described below;

(available to individuals, corporations, firms, and other organizations)
- One representative on the Institute Advisory Board,

Associate Membership -- $650
(available only to individuals)
- Membership
on the Institute’s Advisory Board;
- Free attendance at the Annual Oil & Gas Law Conference (non-member
price: $595) or the Annual Power and Alternative Energy Law Conference (non-member price: $445)
- Free attendance at the Advisory Board’s annual meeting,
reception and dinner on the eve of the Annual Oil & Gas Law Conference;
- The
opportunity to participate in the planning luncheons, committees, leadership
and other activities of the Advisory Board;
- A
20% discount at all other IEL programs;*
- A
10% discount on IEL/Matthew Bender publications: The Oil
and Gas Reporter and the Proceedings of the Oil
and Gas Law Conference;
- Free subscription to IEL's quarterly e-newsletter The Energy Law Advisor (ELA), the members-only website and LinkedIn group and the Energy Law Online Articles Index;
- Recognition
as an Associate Member in IEL and Center publications.
Academic,
Government, Non-profit Membership – $395
(available to universities, government agencies, judicial and arbitral institutions, non-profit corporations and individuals employed full-time at such organizations)
- The right to all benefits of Sponsoring Membership (for organizations) or Associate Membership (for individuals)
described above; and
- Recognition as an Academic/Government/Non-Profit
Member in IEL and Center publications.
Young Energy Professional Membership – $75
(available to young energy professionals under 40 years old)
- Membership in the Institute’s Young Energy Professionals Committee and the right to attend all programs and other activities of the Young Energy Professionals Committee at the member rate* (does not include membership on the Advisory Board); and
- Recognition as a Young Energy Professional Member in IEL and Center publications.
Law School Membership – By Invitation Only
(available to selected law schools with substantial energy law curricula)
- One representative on the Institute Advisory Board, who is entitled to all of the benefits of Associate Membership described above;
- The right to designate two students to attend each Institute conference for free or at the IEL member rate*; and
- Recognition as an Law School Member in IEL and Center publications.
